Not really. As long as you're not trying to sit on the second floor you should be fine...
This place is great I recommend getting the smothered burrito.
I'd give it 5 but it didn't feel like a 5.. the waiter was fast, on point, knew where everyone sat, and didn't have to pull a sheet a paper out for our orders, 5*s all the way for service, knew All of our credit cards at the end.. however they served stale chips noted on all sides of a 13 party table(s).. when they dropped off more of the nachos, same thing. This was only rectified when I ordered nacho and cheese .. the wings were good but not fully amazing, a good grill flavor slightly dry in the middle tossed in hot sauce. The grilled chicken salad was not over the top it was simple. The burrito took the cake with size and presentation ... The flavor was great down to the last refried bean. But there are other places in town that can top this burrito. For size flavor and price. Over all awesome little place to eat great atmosphere, good food and if you had our server an awesome first experience.
Excellent dining experience. Great tequila bar. Great food, friendly staff. Parking is a little difficult.
The best place to hang with your friends, share food, and feel at home. Great atmosphere. The staff is the greatest. I would live there.
Good place for a quick bite. The nachos were fantastic and the service good.
It was a nice quaint little restaurant with an upstairs bar. Service was okay. Not overly glowing staff. The tacos were pretty darn good . I had the chicken BLT thumbs up!
The food is excellent. Great Tex-Mex unique and standard favorites. Cocktails are great and a good pour. Service is excellent. All the staff are friendly. They make you feel at home. Great happy hour.
Absolutely Delicious!!!! Found this place when searching for a nice place to have lunch. The menu is Awesome and the Food was Delicious!! You can tell the Chef has Pride with the display. Friendly waitress ( Erica) who helped us with suggestions. :) Will come here again next time we are servicing the Jax area. :)
Great tequila selection and very tasty margaritas! Food portions are a little light but the drinks make up for it. And DON'T get the house margarita unless you're already about 4 drinks deep and won't notice the difference. My wife and I have eaten Sunday brunch a few times and have had generally positive experiences each time. We both enjoy the tasty margaritas and soup and burrito. The only real complaint is simply the portion size of the burrito relative to other options available at other restaurants. We opted to share a burrito, but it wasn't nearly big enough for two folks to share, despite its $11 price tag. Now we'll do an appetizer or soup together first and then get another option from the menu that's a little more reasonable when it comes to value. Outdoor seating is available and can be extra nice if the weather is right.
In the heart of Five Points this neighborhood hangout has a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced food.On my last visit the Spinach & Chicken Quesadilla was delicious served hot in a crisp tortilla with salsa sour cream and guacamole.
I tried this restaurant years ago and i cannot believe I let it slip through my fingers! The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere matches. Wether you want to sit in the traditional dining room setting, at the upstairs bar or at the outside tables. Every employee in this restaurant is %100 ready and available to meet yout needs. I have yet to have a bad meal or a bad experience here and i will be coming back!
We ended up dining here, because the 1st restaurant (down the sidewalk) is not handicap accessible! Our sister had eaten here, said it was good. Our server never even wrote down the orders (5 of us), got everything correct, she was very attentive & the food was delicious! It was a little cold, as we were sitting near windows and the actual was above us. Very nice staff, good prices & large portions of food!We will go back for sure!
This is my new favorite place in Jacksonville. Atmosphere is great, the staff was fantastic and the food was outstanding! You must try the plantain app, simple, but the best thing ever.
Best Chicken Burrito I've had in Jax since moving here a year ago. The bar staff was very pleasant, fast, clean, and friendly. I will be sure to come back with friends and family!
This place, the food, and the people are always delightful!
Service is friendly and great. Food is hands down amazing! And great prices! My kids who only elect to eat Mac and cheese love the chicken quesadillas. This is a new family favorite, have been here twice in 1 week.
I came here with friends. We had a big table. We all got delicious drinks. We ordered hot delicious food. We waited and conversed patiently whole the cooks prepared the food. I used a paper straw, neat. Tacos, on point. I like how they make tacos. I finished eating and paid. It was a good time.
Not too difficult to locate the shop. Great service by the staff. Food is superb. Too bad I was not able to try their desserts.
We've been there many times and it never disappoints. The crab cakes are excellent with the corn salsa atop. The meatloaf is also delicious. The mashed potatoes side is sooo good not too cheesy. I didn't love the house made sangria yesterday, perhaps it was just an off night, usually it is really good.
Super tasty food and dessert, staff members were all friendly and knowledgeable, a fun place to eat with great vibes and atmosphere. Come try it!
I ordered a smothered Tempeh burrito, it's was really good as well as the key lime pie, it was good but not worth the price they charge. Server was nice. He did a good job taking care of us. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that is was dark, it needs more light fixtures or natural light.
One of my favorite Riverside haunts. Cool rooftop seating if the weather is nice. Amazing deserts. Great vegetarian options. Chic southwest vibe. Get the cowboy cookie M-F. It's life changing.
I'm vegan and I hate tempeh, but this place just does it rite. Corn or flour tortillas crispy tempeh tacos are soooooo freggggin gooood!! FIRE
The food was great and well as service
Mossfire is amazing! Great food, amazing service. You can tell the owners and staff are all about quality!
Consistently a 5 star. Servers and bartenders have worked there for years. Solid menu with best margaritas. First place I ate lunch when I came to Jax. Feels like home, Rachel is from my hometown.
Always delicious. Fresh food, yummy. The chef is Amazing. Second time there. Will be back soon :)
Very friendly and welcoming environment. The food was fast, hot and I cleaned my plate. Drank Venetian and speed racer, will visit and order again😃
I've been here a few times and the food has always been very good. Fresh ingredients and well executed. Serving staff is friendly and attentive.
Mossfire is without a doubt the best bang for your buck when it comes to a quality meal that combines fresh ingredients with innovative flavors in a hip part of town.
Their plantain chips and guacamole were on my list of Top 50 Things to Eat in Jacksonville, and I'm so glad we came here! I loved the empanadas, the rice, the beans, everything! The other people in my party loved their dishes too - we'll be back!
Best thing since the invention of bread!
Best burrito bowl I have had!!! I wish I lived closer so I could go more. I will just have to visit my family more to enjoy this again!
I love this place, it never disappoints! Been dining here for years. Great food, friendly service! Keep it up guys!
My favorite burrito ever. It's so good I can't bring myself to order anything else (smothered pork) but everyone we eat with says the other items are good as well. Nice atmosphere
Amazing food! KA-POW Tacos are my favorite. Awesome adult beverages too! My wife and I go several times a month. Terrific atmosphere and service.
Consistently delicious food served by friendly staff for reasonable pricing. Been coming for years.
i am a foodie and have eaten at some of the best restaurants while traveling. At home this is my casual go to. Everything is fresh and homemade and delicious. The carnita taco (the best pork ever) and the kapow are my favs but the guacamole, soups and other items are all delicious. The staff is great as well as the prices!
Only picking up with Door Dash but it seems like nice little taco place in riverside
So glad we stopped and had lunch here. It is probably one of the best places in Jacksonville to eat. The burrito bowl is huge, definitely a meal for two. Their spinach queso is great. Our waitress, Ally gave above par service with a friendly attitude. We will most definitely go back!
We had a very pleasant meal at Mossfire on a hot July Saturday afternoon when many downtown Jacksonville places near our hotel were closed. The upstairs area with the bar is adults-only but kids are OK on the lower level. The outdoor deck is probably great if the weather is suitable but it was too hot on the day we visited. There are 11 beers on tap, mostly big brewery standards but with some local craft beers. This is a friendly and casual place, we sat at the bar. My mom enjoyed her steak salad and my burrito was excellent. This is a place we would visit again if we get back to Jacksonville.
Food was decent, they're is way better in town that's authentic. Went there for lunch had a soda and "The Burrito" for a total of almost 20.00. So yeah, overpriced.....they don't even use queso blanco for their burrito, it's shredded cheese? 1st and last visit.
The service was absolutely horrendous, the food was good, although I did not get what I ordered. Nice atmosphere and great portion sizes.
Nice place, eat there quite a bit for lunch. Had their mahi fish taco, the first fish taco I've ever had. It was as good as the hype says it is! Found a new favorite there.
First time dining @ Mossfire Grill....Love, love the staff, atmosphere, and the delicious food. Great place to relax and unwind. Owner is very welcoming and gracious. Will recommend, and give a 5 star plus!!!!!!
This Riverside area restaurant has delicious dishes of many types, mostly TexMex inspired. Every item I've ordered have always been delicious. Their hummus with a Southwestern twist is above my favorites and recommend it highly as an appetizer. Also their cookie, baked fresh daily, is a good dessert.
One of my favorite restaurants in town! I've been patronizing Mossfire since they've opened. Everything on the menu is delicious... from the massive burritos, enchiladas, tacos, and crab cake salad. Service is always excellent. There's a reason why they are always busy. The owners are great and so hospitable to their customers. I ordered the salmon special, and it was fantastic. Highly recommend!
We went for brunch and it was very good! We sat upstairs in the bar area and the service was good. The bartender was attentive and on top of it. Can't wait to try the lunch and dinner menu
My Five star rating is mainly for the second floor tequila bar. Excellent tacos, good margaritas, an awesome staff and a small outdoor patio makes this a fine spot. They have great taco Tuesday deals and happy hour drinks so you can get. Lot for your money!
The food is always amazing,And Arika is amazing server second time here will definitely be back
